Our last day at Osmington and the weather couldn't be better!

 

We're having a lovely time at Osmington Bay and are all thoroughly enjoying ourselves - the weather is great! #holiday

Bude Residential - May 2018

Year 6 are due to visit Adventure International in Bude, Cornwall on Monday 21st May for a 5 day residential.  This trip follows the Year 6 National Tests.  If you would like to see what the Year 6 children experienced last year please see our gallery below. 

 

ADVENTURE INTERNATIONAL, BUDE, CORNWALL

May 2016 Trip

Bude - Year 6

 Wednesday: Flying high on the Leap of Faith (trapeze), climbing up to the Crow’s Nest, high obstacle course and other challenges on the High Ropes.

 

The Leap of Faith was achieved by many of the children (see above).

 

Wednesday 9.30am:  Climbing and bouldering challenges for all to enjoy...

 

Wednesday 1.30pm: Climbing up a 15m pole and balancing on a platform (the size of A3 paper) was a challenge, but look at what this group of four children achieved by talking to and supporting each other (below).

Tuesday 24th - 8pm:  Fancy Dress and even the Preston Staff joined in the fun!

Some children and adults took part in the morning run along the canal and up to the monument (below).

Tues 7.15am:  Some of us tried to go for a swim in the ‘Sea Pool’, but the tide was too high!  Look closely and you might see the steps and the walls!  (See below)

The children chose to enter themselves into a basketball tournament…

Tuesday 24th May at 7am: Good morning from Bude.  The sun is shining and suncream applied for a day of bodyboarding, mountain boarding and canoeing.

Body Boarding:  Squeezing into our wetsuits was fun… With the sun shining and the waves crashing, we enjoyed our 2 1/2 hour body boarding, bouncing over the waves - or at least trying to!

After the evening activities, SOME of the children were very tired after a half-day caving or body boarding, some still had too much energy at 10pm…Monday 23rd May 2016 at 11.00am  - Year 6 have arrived at Bude: Adventure International.  Fantastic journey, the sun is shining and the surf is looking good!!
