  • Mental Health Awareness Week

    Published 15/05/26

To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, Year 4 explored the themes of “Let Your Light Shine” and “Feelings” in their English lessons. The children wrote thoughtful and expressive poems, reflecting on emotions, individuality and what makes each of them special.

They then selected their favourite poem to be included in our Year 4 poetry book, taking great pride in their work.

To celebrate, we visited Abbey Manor Care Home, where the children shared their poems and performed songs for the residents. It was a truly special experience, bringing joy to others while building the children’s confidence and sense of connection with the wider community.

  • Welcome Back!

    Published 24/04/26

Welcome back! We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break, and it has been wonderful to welcome the students back for the Summer Term.

This week, the children have settled in brilliantly and have already been busy with their learning. In Maths, we have been focusing on multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000. In English, the students wrote fantastic recounts of their Easter break, sharing their experiences with great enthusiasm.

We have also launched our exciting new topics! The children have thoroughly enjoyed beginning our Tudor history topic, and in Science we started learning about electricity, which has sparked lots of curiosity and interest.

It has been a fantastic start to the term, and we are looking forward to all the learning ahead!
