All the children in Mulberry Class had an exciting opportunity to dissect a pig’s heart as part of their science learning. They explored the structure of the heart and observed how the four chambers—two atria and two ventricles—work together to pump blood around the body. The children also identified key valves and arteries. We were especially proud of those who felt a little nervous at first. They showed great courage and curiosity throughout the lesson. Miss Ward was delighted that it was an afternoon subject for Mrs Haines to teach! It was a memorable, hands-on scientific experience that the children are sure to remember. Enjoy looking at the photos – they certainly made us smile!
