Hickory have had a fantastic and productive week! In English, we wrote passionate and highly convincing persuasive letters to Mrs Hodgson, asking for our break times to be given back, and the children impressed us with their powerful vocabulary, thoughtful arguments and respectful tone. In Maths, we explored symmetry and shape, identifying lines of symmetry in 2D shapes and creating our own symmetrical patterns with great accuracy. We have now finished our India topic and the children enjoyed showcasing their knowledge about the country’s geography, culture and landmarks! We also completing our Science learning on the water cycle, where they confidently explained evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection. We also marked Safer Internet Day by discussing the impact of AI and how to use technology safely and responsibly, and the children designed and created their own imaginative AI robots to help people in positive ways - a brilliant end to a very busy week! ✨
