DT - Eating Seasonally

This half-term we have looked at seasonal foods grown in the UK and how we can incorporate them into our diets.

To begin our topic, we looked at the different climate zones across the world and how different foods grow in different climates. 

Following this, we tried peeling and chopping seasonal vegetables. We learnt how to safely hold and use a knife and a peeler. 

We then tasted seasonal fruits grown in the UK in Autumn. 

To finish our topic, we made seasonal fruit tarts using pastry and fruits such as apples and plums.
