Hornbeam Go Green

Hornbeam Class had a fantastic time taking part in Recycling Week, learning about the importance of protecting our planet and the role we can all play in reducing waste.

The children explored why recycling is so important, discussing how it helps to conserve resources, reduce pollution and care for the environment. They showed great awareness and enthusiasm, sharing their own ideas about how they can make more sustainable choices in their everyday lives.

As part of the week, pupils created their own acrostic poems linked to recycling. Using creativity and thoughtful vocabulary, they produced some brilliant pieces of writing that highlighted key messages about caring for the Earth. It was wonderful to see the children combining their literacy skills with their growing understanding of environmental responsibility.

This meaningful learning experience encouraged Hornbeam to think carefully about their impact on the world and how small actions can make a big difference.
