Arts Week 2026

To celebrate Arts week this year, we have been looking at the work of Hernando Ruiz Ocampo from the Philippines. As this year's theme is 'cultural connections', each class is researching and being inspired by an artist from a country of one of our students in our school. Using watercolours, we created vibrant and carefully painted artworks that everyone felt proud of. 

Friday 18th September

In Geography, we went on a walk around the area surrounding our school to look for human and physical features. Everyone enjoyed finding lots of different features, including a bridge, lots of trees and pavements. We sorted these into human and physical features in our geography books when we got back. 

 

16th September 2026

This week, Mr Bourne has been teaching us how to dribble different balls with control. We tried hard to use the equipment carefully and manoeuvre our balls around obstacles. Also, congratulations to Freya in Maple Class who is our new Eco Council Representative.

 

 

 

 

Monday 7th September 2026

Welcome Back!

Maple Class had a fantastic first day! After settling in nicely at the start of the day, we then wrote about all the imaginary things that we didn't do during our summer holidays. For example, we didn't fly a spaceship to the moon! In the afternoon, we had a lovely art lesson where we investigated how maps can be real or imaginary and compared features of maps as artworks. The children then created their own maps of their journey from home to school using oil pastels. A great start to the week. Well done Maple Class.
