At Preston CofE Primary School, we had a truly wonderful World Book Day celebration. The children arrived in an imaginative and creative array of book-inspired character costumes, alongside some who chose the comfort of their cosy bedtime reading pyjamas. It was a fun-filled and exciting day for everyone, with stories shared throughout the school and great enthusiasm shown by all. One of the highlights was our fantastic paper plate book character competition, which showcased the incredible creativity and talent of our pupils—the displays were truly a sight to behold around the school. Our winners were selected by Mrs Hodgson and Mr Branch, who found the judging extremely difficult due to the high standard of entries. The lucky winners each received £10 to spend at our book fair, a well-deserved reward to celebrate their wonderful achievements.
