To celebrate World Ocean Day, the children learnt about the importance of protecting our oceans and the many amazing creatures that live in them. We discussed how pollution and litter can harm marine life and explored ways that we can all help to care for our oceans.

The children then put their learning into practice by writing their own acrostic poems about World Ocean Day. They thought carefully about the different sea creatures that need our protection and used their ideas to create thoughtful and creative poems.
