  • What a Great Start to Year 1!

Pine Class has had an amazing start to their first term in Year 1. The children have settled in exceptionally well to the new routines and are showing great enthusiasm for learning.

In English, we have been developing our sentence writing skills by practising full stops, capital letters and finger spaces. We have enjoyed reading a variety of books and look forward to more to come. In Maths, we have been exploring numbers through practical lessons and problem-solving challenges. They are becoming more confident in recognising and ordering numbers in different ways.

We have also been busy learning about our senses, learning how to use a keyboard in Computing, developing our drawing skills in Art and had an exciting visit from Darrell Wakelam, where many parents joined us to make 3D birds.

We are incredibly proud of the children! It has been a busy and exciting half term and they have embraced every challenge with a smile! We are looking forward to even more wonderful learning in Autumn 2!
