    En-garde!

Hazel Class had a brilliant time taking part in a fencing workshop, where they were introduced to this fast-paced Olympic sport. Throughout the session, the children learnt some key skills, including the correct stance, how to hold the equipment and basic footwork. They practised moving forwards and backwards with control, developing their balance, coordination and agility.

As the session went on, their confidence really grew and they were able to use their new skills in paired activities. It was great to see them showing focus, respect and excellent sportsmanship throughout. The workshop not only helped build physical skills, but also encouraged resilience, discipline and quick thinking.

It was fantastic to see Hazel Class embrace something a little different with such enthusiasm and determination — we may even have a few future fencing champions!
