To start off Spring 2, we welcomed everyone back with big smiles and lots of enthusiasm for learning!

Our week began with an exciting Moon Landing coding adventure. We watched an interesting video about the moon landing and began learning about coding, including the important term algorithm. The children loved discovering how instructions need to be clear and in the right order.

Rhyming continued in English as we read Each Peach Pear Plum and then wrote our very own poems all about our mums. There were some wonderful rhymes and thoughtful ideas shared.

As Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday happened during the holidays, we spent time learning about their meaning and why they are important to Christians.

Maths introduced the terms clockwise and anti-clockwise, and we had lots of fun putting these into practice through practical activities and movement.

In Science, we began exploring materials, sorting different objects into groups and discussing their properties. We also learnt the difference between fruit and vegetables, carefully sorting items and explaining our choices.

A fantastic and busy start to the new half-term!
