Another busy half-term in Willow Class!

This half-term has been a busy and exciting time for Willow Class, with lots of engaging learning experiences across the curriculum.

In Science, our topic was Light. We carried out a fun and interesting experiment using torches to explore how shadows change. We discovered how the position of a light source can affect the size and shape of a shadow and we enjoyed making predictions and testing our ideas.

In Geography, we have been learning all about the world. One of our favourite activities was creating informative leaflets about the world’s deserts. We researched different desert locations, climates, and wildlife and presented our findings in creative and colourful ways.

We were also very lucky to take part in a cricket workshop. During this session, we practised our batting, bowling and fielding skills. We had a great time working together as a team while learning new techniques.

Another highlight of the half-term was our trip to the Dorset Museum. We explored fascinating Roman artefacts and even had the opportunity to see a Roman town house. This helped bring our history learning to life and gave us a deeper understanding of what life was like in Roman times.

We were also proud to complete our Mini Police programme this half-term. We celebrated our achievements with a wonderful awards ceremony, where everyone received a badge and a certificate. It was a special moment for the whole class and a great way to recognise all of our hard work.

Finally, we had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day. Everyone enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters and sharing stories with one another. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our love of reading.

Well done to all of Willow Class for their enthusiasm and hard work this half-term!
