Purple Up! Day
We had a lovely afternoon celebrating coming from military families. Purple Up! Day marks the closing of the Month of the Military Child.
We designed the front pages for our new scrapbooks! These books are designed to be filled with memories of when family is all together and used to save memories to share when a loved one returns home. If the children do not have access to a printer at home, I am happy to print any pictures they would like to add to their books.
While we played field games and drew in our scrapbooks, it was lovely to hear the children sharing stories of a parent being away from how and what it feels like when they come home. These conversations are so valuable in a relaxed and supportive setting.
With Easter fast approaching, we had a go at decorating Easter eggs. We had a great time trying different colours and stickers as well as talking about what we are looking forward to doing in the holidays and their favourite things about being an Invincible.
To mark the new year, the Invincibles completed a creative task to highlight their goals for the year ahead. They used colour and drawing to explore their ideas.
We had the privilege of attending the Remembrance Service at Yeovilton on Wednesday 11th November. The children represented the school brilliantly and they received some wonderful feedback. We also invited all the children who attend Scouts, Brownies and the Brigades to wear their uniforms as a mark of respect.
