Magdalen Farm
We had a fantastic day out exploring the ecosystems in rivers and woodland areas. The children represented the school brilliantly, asked lots of insightful questions and put their all into every activity. Please find the photos in the class gallery.

Science - Animal Diets
Our science topic this term is all about animals, including humans. This week, we focused on carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. After learning the definition of each one, we organised thirty animals into their correct place on the Venn diagram. We then chose five from each group to write onto the tables in our books. There were some great discussions between the children about why they thought an animal should belong to a specific group.

Art - Line Drawings
We had a lovely afternoon starting our art topic for this half-term. We are building up to creating and drawing our own cave walls. We draw line drawings of an owl and a fox. After focusing on the simple shapes that created the animal's shape, we carefully drew them into our books. We have had a brilliant first week of year 3 and the children have settled quickly into the new routines.

Welcome Back!
Whitebeam Class has had a wonderful first day back! They have come back to school with beaming smiles and are ready to learn lots of new and exciting things in Year 3. They have settled in well to the new routines and expectations in Kay Stage 2. We already know we are going to have a great year.
