This half term, Year 3 celebrated Stone Age Day with a range of exciting activities that brought history to life! We kicked off the day with a fun scavenger hunt, searching for items that Stone Age people might have used or eaten. The children then got creative in the kitchen, making a Stone Age-themed dessert using berries and honey – just like our ancestors might have enjoyed. We also tried our hand at cave painting, using natural colours and techniques to create artwork inspired by ancient times. It was a fantastic day filled with hands-on learning, imagination, and lots of enthusiasm!
