Contribution to society

We encourage all our children to contribute to local society through the project work we undertake.  Our children are given a wide variety of roles and responsibilities within school to allow them to feel valued and make a difference to their school community.  We have ambassador roles for:

• Digital leaders

• Prefects
• School Council
• Reading Buddies
• Huff & Puff (KS2 work with KS1)
• Wellbeing 
• Sports
• Languages

Community links

We work extensively with the River's Trust to make a difference to our local environment both in and around our school grounds.  Through the support of the River's Trust, the children are renovating the school pond ecosytem and adding more elements to our outdoor learning area. 

Members of the River's trust have also aided the Eco Leads to install bird boxes in the school ground to monitor wildlife.

Litterpicking

Children regularly volunteer for litter picking duties to keep our school environment looking clean and tidy.

School charity work

We instill clear community and Christian values in our children and encourage them to think about their local community and the wider world. Through the School Council and class Collective Worship, children suggest causes they would like to support.
