Government and Democracy thread

By the end of KS2, we want children to understand that:

• The job of government is manage a group of people, create laws and make decisions; this is run different in some countries

• Democracy is type of government where people can have a say. It relates to fairness, quality and protecting people’s rights

• Throughout history, there have been different types of government like Kings, Queens, Dictators and democracies

• Ancient Greece was the founder of democracy
