Society and Legacy

By the end of KS2, we want children to understand that:

• That the term society refers to a group of people living together with their own customs and way of life
• That the term legacy is what people from the past has left behind that still affects us today
• Understanding society and legacy helps us to understand who we are and where we have come from
• Different societies have done different things that make them important and remembered
