School Council - KS2 only
Our School Council Representatives are the voice of our school. They meet weekly as to make important decisions about their school and consider charities they want the school to support. They are elected by their classmates,
Last year, these are some of the things they did to help the school:
- Helped to design the playground trim trail which is now in place
- Raised lots of money at the incredible Children in Need cake sale
- Completed book surveys in classes so we could buy new books for classes
- Introduced a fantastic buddy bench for children who want to play with others
- Found out that children want a variety of breakfasts at breakfast club (the catering manager has agreed to put waffles and pancakes on the menu but with mainly healthy choices)
- Completed our travel survey, so we know if we need more bike/scooter storage (we have enough!)
- Met with the mayor so you know what it’s like to represent people and be democratic
- Led an assembly telling our pupils what we love about school and how they are a voice to make things even better
- Agreed a non school uniform day to raise money for our school charity
- Asked for more breaktime equipment, which is now being used.
