By the end of KS2, we want children to understand that:

That the term society refers to a group of people living together with their own customs and way of life
That the term legacy is what people from the past has left behind that still affects us today
Understanding society and legacy helps us to understand who we are and where we have come from
Different societies have done different things that make them important and remembered
