Truth is the quality or state of being in accordance with fact or reality. It’s about what is real, accurate, and honest. Truth can be objective, like scientific facts that are proven through evidence, or subjective, like personal experiences and feelings that are true to an individual. In essence, truth is what aligns with reality and can be verified or trusted.

Teaching about truth involves helping children understand the importance of honesty and reality in their daily lives. We use simple examples and activities to illustrate that truth means telling what really happened and being sincere in their words and actions. By discussing scenarios where honesty is crucial, such as admitting mistakes or sharing accurate information, we show how truth builds trust and strengthens relationships. Encouraging our pupils to always seek and speak the truth helps them develop integrity and a strong moral foundation, which are essential for their personal growth and social interactions.

John 14:6: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

John 8:32: “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Psalm 25:5: “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”

Ephesians 4:15: “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.”

1 John 3:18: “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
