Cricket Captain Owen!

 

Owen from Year 6 represented Somerset's Under 11 State School cricket squad against Millfield Prep School as captain recently.  What an honour! 

Best Acting Performance Award for Clara!

 

Further to her success in May in the 'West End Calling' competition, Clara has gone on to win the 'Best Acting Performance Award' against 25 other children & teenagers.  Clara acted as King George III from the musical Hamilton (see below) for her part in the competition.

 

Clara was presented her award by West End stars (pictured below).  A star in the making!  Congratulations Clara!

Jayden - Football Tournament Winner

 

Jayden in Year 5 has helped his team (Westlands U11s) to win back to back football tournaments recently.  Jayden's team won the Yeovil's Champion Cup & The Southampton Cup at St Mary's Stadium.  Well done Jayden!

Arlo - Football Success

Arlo from Year 2, (who plays for Ilchester Cobras Under 7s) helped his team win, in their category, the Yeovil & District Football League this season. 

West End Calling for Clara!

Clara from Year 5 auditioned for, and won a nationwide musical theater singing competition in Bristol.  Winning the junior category (ages 7 - 16) for the South West, Clara made it through to the semi-finals in London and carried on to win a place in the grand final on 27th May!  Well done Clara and good luck!

Ballet Award for Marika

Well done to Marika who recently achieved her Grade 3 Ballet Syllabus Award. Marika is a very talented dancer and we are incredibly proud of her.

Musical success!

Well done to Sofia who recently celebrated her success at Highbridge Festival of the Arts with a wonderful solo performance on the piano. Well done Sofia!

 

Foodbank Hero Jasmine

Well done to our wonderful Jasmine who ran an impressive 5km to raise money for the foodbank. With her friends, Jasmine raised a whopping £317 – what an achievement!

Cricket success!

Brothers Owen and Patrick have successfully gained places in cricket development programmes.  

 

Excitingly, Owen has been offered a place on the Under 11 Somerset Cricket Pathway and the Under 11 Somerset State School Pathway.  Just as impressively, Patrick has secured a place in the Under 11 MCC State School Cricket Programme; we are so proud of their sporting achievements!

 

We wish them both luck as they embark on these programmes and look forward to hearing about their progress in the months ahead. 

 

 

 

Awards for our delightful dancers!

 

Well done to Florence and Azzie who both won awards at the North Devon Dance Festival recently. Florence won 1st and 2nd place in Ballet and Jazz and Azzie came 3rd place in Ballet. What talented performers! 

Anton, our budding artist!

Anton and his mum were so inspired by our lovely mask making Family Learning session at school, they put their incredible skills to work at home and produced these wonderful creations. Well done Anton and Mum!

Our Boxing Stars!

We are so proud of India and Jasper who train at Crewkerne Boxing Club. They train weekly and their incredible skills have resulted in trophies and awards - Jasper for Most Improved Boxer and India for Coach's Choice. Well done both!

 

Racing Champion

Wow!  How lucky are we to have Ollie in our school - a kart racing champion in our midst!  Ollie recently won another trophy in the UK IKR 2023 Championship at Shenington to add to his already huge collectiion of trophies. Well done Ollie! ðŸ¥‡

Thursday 8th June 2023 - Somerset Cricket Squad Success

We are thrilled to announce that Owen from Year 5 has been selected for Somerset under 10s Cricket Squad. This is a massive achievement and testament to all the dedicated hours of practice and training he has put in to achieve this.  

 

We wish Owen all the very best in his upcoming training and matches and know he will achieve great things with his talent; we look forward to following his progress.
