House Shield Competition Winners
Please see below the pictures of our new House Shields as designed by the children (pictured) and replicated onto wood. The finished shields will be displayed in the hall Thank you to everyone who entered the competition.

Eco Brick Flower/Veg Beds
Members of the School Council have been putting the donated 'eco bricks' to good use by making raised flower/vegetable in our garden area on the field. Hopefully the beds will look lovely come the summer!

School Council ‘Suggestion Boxes’
Members of the school council have engaged their peers in discussions (within their classes) about ideas to improve the school. Suggestions included; outdoor apparatus on the field, cookery clubs and other club ideas, updating the forest area with a path and trail, more benches for the field and fish tanks for key areas in the school. The feasibility of these ideas, and the many other ideas raised will be investigated further.
House Shield Competition 2020
The school council committee from 2019/2020, previous to lockdown, had planned to run a competition for pupils to design a house shield (see below for details) to be hung in the school hall. This competition has been rescheduled for this half term (first Autumn half term) and we are asking for entries via the attached form. Paper copies can be obtained from the school office if required.
At Preston Primary we have 4 houses:
- Ranulph Fiennes (Red)
- Captain Cook (Blue)
- Helen Sharman (Green)
- David Livingstone (Yellow)
Each 'house' is allocated a colour as indicated above. Please design a shield for your house including the background in the colour (as above).
