To conclude their science unit on light, Sycamore Class made their own periscopes. They used angled mirrors and the concept that light travels in straight lines to create these devices. There was lots of fun and games as we 'spied' on each other.
Sycamore Class completed their '5 Ways to Wellbeing' project which consisted of making a short film on how to improve various aspects of mental health. They used lots of computing skills to edit their videos and starred in them themselves. There was just enough time on Friday to watch everyone's creations.
Sycamore Class have been busy learning how to code on Scratch, creating their own games and chatbots. It was great fun to see their unique designs and the use of different variables to really enhance their creation.
This week, Sycamore Class went on their trip to Nothe Fort to continue their learning about WWII. They experienced what shopping and home life was like in the 1940s as well as what it was like to be in an Anderson shelter during a bombing raid. It was great to see everyone role-playing as evacuees throughout the day.
Welcome back Sycamore from your break! Hope you are all refreshed and ready to go. Miss Cook and I are looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
